Women's Health Across the Lifespan: Clinical Insights for Dietitians

Presented by: Audrey Miller MS, RD/LD

Registered Dietitian, Evora Medical Group

Description: Women's health needs evolve significantly across the lifespan, with hormonal transitions influencing nutritional requirements, metabolic health, body composition, cardiovascular risk, bone health, and overall well-being. Dietitians play a critical role in helping patients navigate these changes through evidence-based nutrition strategies and individualized care.
This webinar will provide a practical overview of the hormonal timeline from adolescence through reproductive years, perimenopause, menopause, and healthy aging. Participants will explore key nutrition priorities at each life stage, gain confidence in interpreting commonly ordered laboratory markers, and apply concepts through real-world patient case studies. The session will also address common myths and misconceptions surrounding hormones, weight management, menopause, supplements, and women's health nutrition.

Learning Objectives: By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • 1. Identify the changing nutrition priorities associated with each stage of the female lifespan.
    2. Apply
evidence-based nutrition interventions to address common women's health concerns, including insulin resistance, weight management, and menopause.
    3. Interpret laboratory values commonly used in women's health and discuss their relevance to nutrition assessment and intervention.
    4. Apply patient-centered counseling strategies to support sustainable nutrition behavior change across the lifespan.
    5. Evaluate
common nutrition trends and misinformation related to hormone health, identifying evidence-based recommendations that support long-term health outcomes.
